Abe Lincoln

“You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich...strengthen the weak by weakening the strong...bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift...lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down...build character and courage by taking away people’s initiative and independence...help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves." -Abraham Lincoln

What is it Wednesday

Welcome to another what is it Wednesday.  Today I have three glass containers.  These used to hold yogurt, sour cream, and cottage cheese.  The tall one in the middle had a 3 cent deposit, the one on the right did not, and the Dannon yogurt does not say.  These containers after the continents where used up, where reused has drinking glasses, storage, jelly could be added with a wax seal.  From the glass container, to a paper wax container, to plastic.  All three could be found in the 1940 to 1950 time line.  Our grandparents where more green then we are today.  We need to go back!

Love seeing these! WOuld love to find them too.
I have always used mason jars as my everday drinking glasses. No fuss, and no worries if they break. I also have some glass refrigerator containers that I love and use instead of plastic storage containers. Thanks for sharing.
