Abe Lincoln

“You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich...strengthen the weak by weakening the strong...bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift...lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down...build character and courage by taking away people’s initiative and independence...help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves." -Abraham Lincoln

Money saving tip!

First buy or reuse real ribbon.  Do not buy the paper stick on bows.  If you buy some ribbon after the season you can get it for 50% to 75% off the price.  Check you local fabric or craft store.  This ribbon lasts from year to year, and will not end up in a land fill.  Yes it does get a little wrinkle have you have stored it for a year.  But...............

If you get out your curling iron, you and fix it quick and not burn your fingers.

Run the ribbon through the curling iron a few times, and it will look just fine.  Some of the ribbon I reuse is about 10 years old.  The new ribbon with the wire in it can be fix sometime just with your hand, and a little heat from the curling iron.  If you do not curl you hair, and ask someone to use theirs or pick one up at a garage sale.  Keep it with your ribbon, and you are all sent.  Even if the stick on bow are a couple of dollars, times 10 to 15 years that adds up fast.  Or you can tell your family like I tell mine, the money I save will get us a free pizza!!!!

Merry Christmas
