Abe Lincoln

“You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich...strengthen the weak by weakening the strong...bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift...lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer character and courage by taking away people’s initiative and people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves." -Abraham Lincoln

Good morning, and welcome to another Monday!  I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.  As you know each Monday I ask you to visit some Old Farmhouse Group Etsy Shops.  So please get something warm to drink (it is cold here), and check out these wonderful shops I have found for you today.  The first shop is Plow and Pony, where Toni capture's the feeling of horse and buggy days.  You will find handmade items and vintage pieces to make your home have the old fashion charm of gone by era.  The next shop is by Kathy from the Red Barn Primitive.  Kathy makes penny rugs, dolls, crochet dishcloth and sells fabric if you would like to make something for yourself.  The last shop for you today is by Sara from the Redneck Candle shop.  This is family run business that makes soy candles, and soap.  You can find laundry soap, along with glycerin fun shape soap.  Fun soap for kids or the kids at heart.  All three shops have something to add to your home.  From making your home smell great, to doing laundry, a wonderful vintage piece, and a handmade items, with out breaking the bank.  Then please check out the other wonderful artist from the Old Farmhouse Group (type in OFG) into the search bar.  Pick a room in your home and you will find something to change the look for 2010.  Have a Happy New Year, be safe, and see you in 2010!  I will be back next week, next year with some more great artist for you to look at.  Till then Happy New Year!

Good shoppes Rose. I've purchased from Plow and Pony before. Oh and I love Kathy's penny rugs and runners. I'm so glad you feature shoppes that we don't see too often. This refreshes our minds of them. You know that old saying, "out of sight, out of mind" Well, you bring them back into sight:) Thanks doll!
