Abe Lincoln

“You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich...strengthen the weak by weakening the strong...bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift...lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer character and courage by taking away people’s initiative and people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves." -Abraham Lincoln

On a gray, raining day I had a wonderful surprise!

Hello friends, I have to share the wonderful surprise I had on Friday! While blog hopping I found a post my Becky over at Primitives n Stitching about displaying baskets. Well I had to see the baskets and the display, and to my surprise the last picture looked like one of my baskets. Soooo I had to contact Becky to see if it was and yes it is! She won the basket filled with goodies from the Old Farmhouse Gathering Give Away, and one of the prizes was my basket. It is wonderful to see something you have made out on display in someones home. Becky has given me permission to use her picture of my basket in her home.

You can find the posting about Becky basket collection and display by following this link Enjoy your visit and check out all the wonderful baskets Becky has in her home. This wonderful world is indeed small! Thank you Becky for making my day special!

Some times shop owners do not realize how wonderful baskets work in displays...and sometimes basketmakers do not appreciate shop using their baskets as props. I'm so glad you BOTH agree that it is a great way to sell both the basket and its contents.
