Abe Lincoln

“You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich...strengthen the weak by weakening the strong...bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift...lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down...build character and courage by taking away people’s initiative and independence...help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves." -Abraham Lincoln

Veteran Day 11-11-2010

On the eleventh  month, the eleventh day on the eleventh hour we honor those who have serviced this country.  Take a minute to thank them young and old.  Spend sometime talking to a World War II veteran and learn something that no movie can show us.  Show support to the ones coming home from Iraq and Afghanistan.  Make peace with the veteran from Vietnam, all they did was the job given to them.  Are freedom would not be here if it was not for them.  I would like to take this time to thank the veterans of my family and my husbands family!
Grandfather John - Army - World War I
Grandfather Thomas - Army
Grandfather Patrick - Army - World War I
My Dad - John - Army Air Core - World War II
Father in law - Harry - Army - World War II
Uncle Eddie - Army Air Core - World Was II
Uncle Cliff - Army - World War II
Uncle Charles - Army - World War II
Uncle Jack - Army - World War II
Uncle George - Army - World War II
Terry - Navy
Gary - Marines - Vietnam
My Husband - Barry - Marines - Vietnam
My Son - Matt - Army - Afghanistan
My Son - Dan - Army - Iraq
My Daughter in law - Bethany - Army - Afghanistan and the first female in a war zone

I am very proud of my family and what they have given to this country and our freedom. With out them our freedom would not ring!
