Abe Lincoln

“You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich...strengthen the weak by weakening the strong...bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift...lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down...build character and courage by taking away people’s initiative and independence...help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves." -Abraham Lincoln

Farmington Farm and Artisan Market - August 27

I will be at the market Saturday.  So come down to get your farm fresh vegetables, fruit, bread, meat, eggs, milk and more.  Located on Grand River and Grove St in the Riley Park.  Open from 9 till 2, you will have the enjoyment of listening to the group The Two Timers performing their acoustic rock and country.  Plus Chef Tony Shushtari from Alfoccino Restaurent will be making pasta salad.  If you are a scarecrow builder stop by the market tent to pick up your form for the annual scarecrow contest.  This year theme is "America Pop Culture" .  All scarecrows must be turned in by October 8, 2011.  Good times will be had by all at the market on Saturday.  Remember to support your local farmers and artist.  With the holiday season being a few months away get some ideas for gift giving and watch the artist make something wonderful and special for your gift giving.
