“You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich...strengthen the weak by weakening the strong...bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift...lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down...build character and courage by taking away people’s initiative and independence...help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves." -Abraham Lincoln

Monday Market with Old Farmhouse Gathering

It is Monday the day after the Super Bowl Game, and congratulations to the New Orleans Saints on winning. I'm learning about the "Who Dat", and all the fun from New Orleans. Today I have found two more very talented artist, and they have more then one shop. So on this cold and snowy Monday you will have a great trip to these shops, in your slippers, so get something warm to drink, before you have to deal with the cold. The first shop is by Phyllis who has the Village Weaver on Etsy. Her husband also has an amazing shop called the Scottish Lion Wrought Iron. Please also visit their web site for more wonderful creation from this talented couple. http://mainevillageweaver.com.     The two of them weave fabric into bedspreads, homespun fabrics, blankets, lampshades, table clothes, runner, and then all the wrought iron to go into your home.  You will be spending a lot of time check out all the items they have made.  The next shops belong to Joy who also has three shops.  The first one is Vintage Verses, where you will find hand written calligraphy scripture, and Joy will do custom work for you.  Her next shop is Beejoyfulquilts, filled with patterns for your quilting needs, then the last shop is Joyfully Yours.  This shop is filled with stationery, prints, cards, and calendars. It is amazing how talented this people are, and the joy they find in doing what they love.  When you are done please type OFG into the search bar on Etsy, and you will find more artist to visit with.  A link to all of these wonderful shop is to the right of this posting.

Please stop by the Old Farmhouse Gathering Blog to sign up for the great give away, the talented artist have put together.

Have a great and safe day!
