“You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich...strengthen the weak by weakening the strong...bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift...lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down...build character and courage by taking away people’s initiative and independence...help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves." -Abraham Lincoln
Welcome to Monday and the first day of February! The month of love! If you are looking for some wonderful gifts for a love one, the Old Farmhouse Group has a lot to offer. Everything offer in this group will last a lot longer then flowers, and for a lot less money. So for some one of kind gifts please visit the three shops I have found for you today. The first shop belongs to Dorothy of Thymeless Treasure, you will find e-patterns, bowl fillers, and primitive decor. The next shop belongs to Natalie of Tin and Treasures, where you will find painted tins, knitted goods, and lots of seasonal goodies for you home. The last shop today belongs to Michelle of the Ugly Duckling Design, where you will find soy candles, electric candles, and tarts. When you are done visiting these great shops type OFG into the search bar on Etsy, and you will find more wonderful shop to look at and do some shopping. Shopping in your slippers with something warm to drink, will beat going to the mall any day. Plus you are supporting artist here, and not something imported with who know what in it. See you next Monday with some more wonderful shops from the OFG team, and on Wednesday I will feature another shop from the Homefront Artfire Team.

There hasn't been much said about the military mom. Yet no wars could ever have been won without her! A military mom is a teacher of independence, perserverance, discipline and integrity, possesses a great sense of humor and can make of any house, a home. She is a woman of quiet strength who has shaped the hearts of our Bravest Heroes and taught them to value peace above all else. The military mom is unshakable in love for her country. That is how she is able to let go of her most precious treasure. A son or daughter. We proudly salute and thank the "Military Mom".
