“You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich...strengthen the weak by weakening the strong...bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift...lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down...build character and courage by taking away people’s initiative and independence...help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves." -Abraham Lincoln
Hello blog friends! Please take a moment to visit the shop of Sweetgrass Valley. Debbie make the most amazing Native American style chokers. Shopping at pow wow's for materials, each piece becomes a individual work of art. She makes her own leather spacer and lacing, and let's the beads tell her how they are to go together. None of the beads are machine made. All come in a handmade bag for storage or gift giving. Debbie uses leather, artificial sinew, bone hair pipe, white heart crow, glass and some stone beads. You will have a wonderful time visiting her shop and the other shops of the Dirtroad Team. Just type "drat, dirtroadteam" into the search bar on Etsy for more shops from a talent group of artists.

There hasn't been much said about the military mom. Yet no wars could ever have been won without her! A military mom is a teacher of independence, perserverance, discipline and integrity, possesses a great sense of humor and can make of any house, a home. She is a woman of quiet strength who has shaped the hearts of our Bravest Heroes and taught them to value peace above all else. The military mom is unshakable in love for her country. That is how she is able to let go of her most precious treasure. A son or daughter. We proudly salute and thank the "Military Mom".
