“You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich...strengthen the weak by weakening the strong...bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift...lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down...build character and courage by taking away people’s initiative and independence...help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves." -Abraham Lincoln

She is a self taught artist live in Northern MN with her three bad cats.  Her jewelry is wonderful, offering necklace, earrings, and bracelets.  Both shops have something to offer for Mothers Day.  So get a pencil and paper and take some notes on what you would love to get for Mothers Day or do some shopping for your Mother.

Michigan Shops - Flying Thread and Phoenix and Dragonfly

Hello friends!  Michigan is filled with many great artists.  Please stop and visit these wonderful shops that I have found for you.  The first is Flying Threads, where Barbara has her Etsy shops filled with items she has sewn.  Barbara learn how to sew at age 8 on a pedal Singer sewing machine and never looked back.  After working for 20 years she is back doing what she loves, while taking care of her 90 year young mother.  You will find wonderful eye glass cases, table runners, pot holders, quilts and much much more.  Great shop to look at for Mother's Day.

The next shop is Phoenix and Dragonfly owned by Karen.  Working with her camera and glass this shop is filled with photos, plus art glass.  Karen fell in love with glass twenty years ago doing stained glass windows, then found  kiln glass work.  Today she make functional art glass, from bowls, plates, vessels and more.  Her other love the camera has been in her hands for 35 years.  She has wonderful photos of flowers and Street Rod cars.  Some of her photos have been turned into cards.  I love the great photos of the Street Rods, she has captured the art work on the cars in her photos.  What a wonderful Father's Day gift for the men in your life!  Perfect for the Man Cave they all need!
